A Simple Strategy for Motivating Geniuses
This post is the product of a conversation I had with a friend, it is his strategy for motivating key team players.
- Your mission is 'X'
- One short and easy to understand phrase, e.g., "MacDonald's for health nuts"
- Remove ALL worry from their lives, so they can focus with laser precision
- Expectations are EVERYTHING
- Progressive 'this is the general goal'
- Leverage what motivates them / give them a reason
- Give them a dynamic upside (e.g. equity)
- 4 days work, 3 days off (no other work but your project is allowed, no exceptions)
